Sanjay Shukla, a Chartered Accountant with over 33 years of extensive experience as mortgage specialist. Mr. Shukla has a proven track record of leading and transforming financial institutions viz. Public, Private and Foreign Institutions.

Prior to his appointment as Managing Director at National Housing Bank (NHB), Mr. Shukla served as the founding Managing Director & CEO of an affordable housing finance company. Under his leadership, company achieved significant growth and stability. Before that, he was the Managing Director & CEO of another affordable housing finance company, where he successfully turned around the company and put the company on the growth trajectories with minimal credit loss.

Mr. Shukla’s career also includes key roles such as Business Head of Consumer Assets at ING, where he was pivotal in establishing and expanding the consumer loan vertical. He played a foundational role in launching Tata Capital’s retail housing finance business, India’s largest conglomerate. Additionally, Mr. Shukla also worked eight years at Citibank N.A., where he held the position of Vice President and Area Director, and set up mortgage business in India’s Tier-I and Tier-II cities.
