Takeo Kitamura, the General Manager of the Business Planning & Coordination Department at the Development Bank of Japan Inc (DBJ), plays a central role in designing DBJ’s business plan and investment strategy. He is responsible for overseeing DBJ’s international business activities.
Takeo joined DBJ in 1999 and has held various positions of responsibility. Previously, he served as the General Manager of DBJ’s Structured Finance Department, where he focused on infrastructure financing in both Japanese and international markets. He also held the position of Head of Corporate and Structured Finance at DBJ Europe Limited, DBJ’s European arm in London, where he was responsible for infrastructure investment activities in the European region.
Throughout his career at DBJ, Takeo has been involved in diverse areas such as project finance, leveraged buyouts, and corporate turnarounds in the energy and transportation sectors. He is currently a member of the Board of the Long-term Infrastructure Investors Association.
Takeo holds a Master of Business Administration degree (with High Honors) from The University of Chicago Booth School of Business, as well as a Bachelor of Laws degree from Hitotsubashi University.
