Maxime Dedecker is a driven and accomplished professional who has devoted his career to creating meaningful, sustainable impact in the agricultural industry. Maxime’s academic background is uniquely positioned at the crossroads of science and business, holding both a Master of Science in Bio-engineering and a Master in Business Economics. This rare combination allows him to leverage technical expertise while ensuring that groundbreaking solutions remain economically viable.
Maxime’s journey began in an engineering consultancy company where he honed his business development skills and learned the art of durable client management. However, his enduring passion for biology and sustainability soon led him to the innovative startup 2Grow. There he spent seven years helping the agricultural sector adopt cutting-edge technology for data collection and interpretation, turning raw insights into practical, profitable action plans for farmers and stakeholders alike.
Over time, Maxime saw firsthand the complexity of implementing sustainable changes. He recognized that although many organizations advocate for sustainability, those on the front lines, especially farmers, often receive little recognition or financial incentive. Determined to address these challenges, he founded Tracee, a digital software tool designed to bring transparency and fairness to every link in the supply chain.
Through Tracee, Maxime aims to unite different players in the supply chain: growers, financial institutions, businesses and consumers. The shared goal being creating a positive, lasting change. By facilitating open data capture and encouraging collective thinking, he believes in revolutionizing how we cultivate, deliver, and enjoy our food, all while ensuring equitable rewards for those most dedicated to sustainable practices.
Today, Maxime stands at the helm of Tracee, proud of the reflective journey that brought him here and committed to turning his vision into reality. His message is clear: effective sustainability can only be achieved when economic constraints are addressed, stakeholders cooperate, and recognition is given where it is due. If you share his passion for innovation in agriculture or have ideas to strengthen this mission, Maxime warmly invites you to connect over a cup of coffee. He is eager to collaborate, driven to broaden Tracee’s impact, and looking forward to a future where sustainability and profitability go hand in hand.
